A prototype proves something can work once. Production means it works predictably, affordably, and safely — with observability, error handling, security, and a release process. I've shipped 20+ apps to the App Store; the unglamorous 80% after the demo is where I spend my time, because that's what determines whether an app survives its first year.
I'll tell you when React Native is the wrong choice, when you don't need an AI agent, or when a cheaper approach gets you the same result. A consultant who only ever agrees with you isn't worth hiring. My reputation compounds on the projects I talk clients out of as much as the ones I take.
